neesonthewlis: Health & Fitness Solutions: Self-Hypnosis - thulium ...

By Mamie Nanez

It's important that you become familiar with the field of hypnosis - especially self-hypnosis - and one of the best ways to do so is to start by reading shorter reports like this one to begin your knowledge base. Delve into the subject wholeheartedly and you will find that it doesn't take long to get a well-rounded grasp of what hypnosis is all about. Hypnosis is not a difficult subject to comprehend as there's really nothing complicated about it. The same holds true for self-hypnosis.

Since we are all so different, you may find the need to use self-hypnosis many times. The important thing is not how many times you need to use a particular script for some particular goal. The only thing that counts is that you are triumphant with it and get to the target you had in the first place. There is no way to know how you will respond to self-hypnosis until you try it out. An additional point that is critical is that it takes many applications to get to the phase where your endeavours are really valuable. You will more than likely not have the greatest execution at the start and you will not be entirely at ease with the procedure.

For a self-hypnosis session to be effective, you have to choose a place that is quiet. Try to remove all distractions from the place before commencing a session.

Creating your own personal space to practice your self-hypnosis is a good thing to do. Your ideal scenario could be in a cool, low-lit room with candles and incense.

Once you have decided to use self-hypnosis, you need to make a commitment. Unless you are fully committed and have confidence it will not work for you. It is imperative that you have conviction and believe the necessary things that need to change will. Hopefully you already have a good idea of the impact that faith and conviction have for favourable results. The whole concept of hypnosis, whether it is done by a therapist or by ones self, is up for disbelief by many. There are folks that have been assisted with the use of hypnosis throughout time and in many instances.

Every script to write and design needs to be exquisite for each hypnosis session. Consider that you are trying to reach your unconscious mind directly. That means you have to bypass your ordinary consciousness that looks at the world in a critical manner. So you have to know exactly how to use the right words that will be the most effective. You can buy self-hypnosis tapes or even buy scripts from hypnotherapists. A licensed trained hypnotherapist should be where this material comes from. They are governed by hypnosis organizations that will make sure they are on the straight and narrow. Your local area, and certainly the Internet, will have people you can talk to. In conclusion, there are many other self-hypnosis tips that are available. You can learn them if you want. Just be sure you are getting quality information from the web. Building a website, and populating it with information, is very easy to do - this is why you need to be careful with the info that you find.

How to build a successful financial KPO unit | Firstpost

    By Priti Parekh

Financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, ABN Amro and several others have actively promoted India as an off-shore base to set up domain-oriented knowledge processes.

The financial knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) market is also active with several large outsourcing firms such as Infosys, Cognizant, and EXL, which offer high-end services, and niche players such as Amba Research and Evalueserve, who have created highly specialized outfits to conduct financial analytics and research work.

Normally, KPO engagements comprise 10 to 50 member teams. Entrepreneur India

KPO involves tasks that range from financial modeling of companies, industry analysis and equity research, including company and sector research, all the way to sophisticated index and derivative product support, quantitative analysis, and underwriting support.

Normally, KPO engagements comprise 10 to 50 member teams and are delivered by highly skilled domain specialists including CAs, CFAs, MBAs (Finance), statisticians, mathematicians and data scientists, with or without industry experience, with entry-level salaries ranging from 3-8 lakh per annum.

    Understand the client?s perspective

I remember running a very large engagement to build 500 financial models and equity research reports for an investment banking client who did not deem it important to share that they were going to publish this research almost instantaneously on their research website. As we started to deliver these reports, the outputs did not integrate very well with the website?s publishing platform. This led to a lot of rework and delays in sending out timely research to their institutional customers. KPO work is very integral to a client?s business: knowing the ?big picture? always helps.

    Build relationships with end-users

Unlike BPO (business process outsourcing) or ITO (information technology outsourcing) work where it is sufficient to align with strategic business leads and vendor management teams, success in KPO engagements is largely driven by strong integration and communication with individual business end-users. It is the end-users who determine which part of their core domain tasks should be moved to the vendor, including the pace and complexity of the work.

I have seen outsourcing program managers creating ambitious goals for the KPO program that get waylaid because the end-users have not bought into the program or are nervous about sharing critical tasks with a vendor.

This will only change when they build direct confidence in the vendor?s capability by interacting with the specialists and skilled resources that the vendor provides.

Knowledge workers at the vendor?s end also highly value their interpersonal relationships with end-users, and make the highest contribution when they feel they are a logical extension of the client?s team. One of our analysts, Ajay Dogra (name changed), prides himself for the fact that he is directly working for a celebrated US Telecoms Analyst?Tim Stevenson (name changed)?and would not like to change his sector for as long as he gets to work with Tim.

    Consciously plan for work evolution

When I was part of the BPO industry, we used to be heavily preoccupied with ?dumbing down? the work profile to make tasks more process-oriented and easily trainable. In the past six years of running KPO units, I have realized that the exact reverse should be done! Knowledge workers naturally want to move up the value chain and do more sophisticated tasks for their clients. So don?t disrupt the natural evolution of work complexity, and instead encourage it. It makes for a happy client and a happy employee.

    Choose the right team

The critical success factor in a KPO engagement is choosing each team with the right skill sets and not merely the right leader. Each individual member often directly interacts with the client and is responsible for the quality of the output he/she delivers. Any compromise on this front leads to frustration at both ends. If the chemistry between them is not working, make a quick swap of the team member as the relationship is unlikely to sustain in the long run anyway. Also, given that billing rates in this business are upwards of $60,000 per annum, there is low tolerance for mediocrity. It is also important to over-invest in the engagement in the first 90 days to closely iron out these issues expeditiously.

    Sound culture to drive success

We cannot create a successful KPO doing equity research unless our knowledge workers (called analysts) behave like they belong in a capital markets firm. Our analysts should have morning meetings to discuss overnight developments in stock markets, discuss valuation impacts on critical stocks, or pursue CFA degrees in their spare time. A KPO firm providing insurance KPO support will not be worth its pedigree if their associates are not encouraged to take the LOMA or FSA (UK) exams. Therefore, it is this culture and ecosystem of specialization that distinguishes a successful KPO and allows it to obtain its disproportionate share in the market place.

In summary, the best KPO firms in the industry focus heavily on understanding the client?s domain and his objectives, investing in strong domain specialists, and relentlessly living the culture of the domain in which they operate.

    5 Mind-Blowing Things I Learned about UX in 2012 | A Better User ...

I hope everyone had a very Merry UXMas! I figure with the New Year right around the corner, it?s a good time to review some of the things I?ve learned about UX this year. Maybe you?ll learn something too!

If you follow our blog, you know that I?m still new (about 6 months in) to the field of web marketing and principles of UX. There is so much to consider when creating, maintaining and growing a business online that it can feel overwhelming at times. ?Since June, I?ve spent countless hours reading, watching videos, writing articles and talking to other professionals about UX and how to build websites work better for businesses.

    Here is what I?ve learned?

    1. The UX Community Kicks Ass

The UX community is extremely generous when it comes to sharing useful and meaningful information related to the field. Whether its tips on how to tackle your first survey to case studies, podcasts, interviews, UX cartoons and more, there is a plethora of information at your fingertips and a community of professionals willing to share.

Ben and I do podcasts every Friday, where we interview folks about their product or service and how it relates to UX and improving websites. We?ve had a great time getting to know the people behind these UX ?business. Not to mention all the cool tech people we met at the Internet Summit in Raleigh, NC.

Looking for more info on UX? Here are links to some of my favorite UX blogs and some UX women I follow on twitter.

10 Awesome UX Blogs You?d be CRAZY Not to Follow

6 Amazing UX Women You MUST Follow on Twitter

    2. There are oh, SO MANY TOOLS!

One thing that really surprised me as I begin to learn more about UX, is that there is a tool for everything!

    We have tools to evaluate design,?User Testing,?A/B Testing,?Design Evaluation Tools,?Heatmaps / Mouse Tracking Tools,?Information Architecture Creation Tools,?Information Architecture Evaluation Tools,?Mockup User Testing,?Wireframe/Mockup,?Live Chat Support Tools,?Marketing Automation Tools,?Mobile Prototyping,?Multi-Use UX Tools,?Synthetic Eye-Tracking Tools,?Screen Capture Tools,?UX Survey Tools,?Web Analytics Tools to name a few.

For a more in-depth look at User Testing tools, check out the article:

The UX Toolbox: The UX Tools You Need to Get It Done

For our full list of UX tools visit the UX Directory.

    3. Peter Morville?s UX Honeycomb

    ux-honeycomb

Ben introduced me to Morville?s UX Honeycomb. ?It pretty much sums up the 6 aspects of the user experience that marketers, developers, and designers must try to maximize to the best of their ability.

Useful:?the website (or product) must be useful to the user.

Usable:?usability is extremely important, but it is only one aspect of what UX designers need to address.

Desirable:?we must look at the users? emotional responses, the effectiveness of images, colors, the way branding affects users, and what might make the user feel good about an interaction.

Findable:?good information architecture, navigation, and attention to search engine optimization make a website findable.

Accessible:?value and work toward making sites usable by people with disabilities.

Credible:?including aspects of design that increase a user?s sense that the web information or the company the site represents is credible and trustworthy.

Valuable:?websites should create value for the stakeholder and a website should be valuable to the user.

    4. Goal Setting is Crucial

I?ve really gained a new appreciation for goal-setting, both personally and professionally. It is only by setting and defining SMART goals, that we can track and determine meaningful progress and accomplishment. What are SMART goals?

Specific ? Targeted to a clear and unambiguous business goal
Measurable ? Answers the question ?How will I know when the goal is met??
Attainable ? Can be achieved with effort
Relevant ? Answers the question ?Is the goal worthwhile?? ?Is this what I really want??
    Time-Bound ? Creates a time-frame and deadline

    5. The Iterative Process

I always thought that the design process worked like this:

    step 1. I want a website that does/sells ?this?

step 2. I hire someone to do what I want

    step 3. They create it

step 4. The website is done

As it turns out, a website should never be ?done.? Just as you constantly improve and modify your physical business, so should you be doing with your online business. Once you get your site or product up and running, you share it, get feedback, make changes and then improve, hence optimizing for usability and conversions. Because the technology and the web and how we engage and interact with our customers is always changing, there is no ?final product.???User testing, surveys, usability testing, analytics and interviews are great ways to get feedback for the iterative process.

    iterative-process

    6.?Analytics for Everything

Holy analytics! I had NO IDEA the amount of information available to us using analytics tools. Tracking data on your website is key to being able to refine it to achieve your business goals. As a marketer, I always want to be able to track and quantify design and product decisions with my clients. And now, we can. Just about everything we do online is trackable, with the right tool.

With tools like Google Analytics, we can track traffic to the site, traffic from the site, clicks on a page, on what page users are leaving and how long users are staying just to name a few.

Even social media offers analytics to track ?likes? on a Facebook page or Twitter ?follows? for example.

China to crack down on "malicious" trademark registrations

BEIJING (Reuters) - China plans to change the law to crackdown on "malicious" trademark registrations, state media said on Monday, after a series of cases in which well-know international brands and individuals have had their names or copyright misused.

Foreign governments, including the United States, have for years urged China to take a stronger stand against intellectual property rights violations on products ranging from medicines to software to DVD movies.

Basketball legend Michael Jordan is one of the latest to accuse a company of using his name without permission, and French luxury group Hermes International SCA and Apple Inc have faced trademark problems too.

The proposed amendment will offer protection to major international brands, giving copyright owners the right to ban others from registering their trademarks or from using similar ones, even if such trademarks are not registered, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

"The draft is intended to curb the malicious registration of trademarks," Xinhua said.

The country's legislature - which performs a largely rubber stamp role - will discuss the amendment this week, it said, without saying when the new rules could be put in place or providing other details.

The move comes after basketball star Michael Jordan filed a lawsuit in China in February against a Chinese sportswear company, accusing the firm of unauthorized use of his name.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame recipient and former Chicago Bulls star said that Qiaodan Sports, a company located in the southern Fujian province, had built its business around his Chinese name "Qiaodan" and jersey number without his permission.

The lawsuit has yet to go to trial, Chinese media have reported.

France's Hermes International SCA has also had problems in China with its trademark, and in July Apple Inc agreed to pay $60 million to Proview Technology (Shenzhen) to end a protracted legal dispute over the iPad trademark in China.

China has insisted it is serious about tackling intellectual property violations.

    Former President Bush still hospitalized

HOUSTON (AP) ? President George H.W. Bush, who has been in a Houston hospital with a lingering cough since November, needs to "build up his energy" before he can be released, doctors said Sunday.

Methodist Hospital spokesman George Kovacik said in an emailed statement that doctors are still optimistic the 88-year-old Bush will make a full recovery, but are being "extra cautious" with his care. Bush is in stable condition, he said.

Bush was hospitalized Nov. 23 for treatment of a bronchitis-related cough. Hospital officials have said Bush has been receiving physical therapy to increase his strength.

Bush spokesman Jim McGrath said on Thursday Bush could be released in time for Christmas.

However, Kovacik said Sunday a discharge date has not been set, and it remains unclear whether the 41st president will be able to spend the holiday at home. Kovacik said that could be decided Monday, Christmas Eve.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) ? Chuck Pagano was so eager to get back to work Monday, he was the first one to show up at team headquarters.

Long before meeting with his players, the Colts first-year coach drove quietly into the complex, walked into the office where the lights have remained on for nearly three months and began preparing for Sunday's game against AFC South champion Houston like it was another at the day office.

Hardly. It was the biggest milestone yet in an incredibly emotional season in which Pagano has beaten leukemia and the Colts have been a most pleasant surprise in reaching the playoffs under interim coach Bruce Arians.

"I asked him if he would ... take over the reins and what a masterful, masterful job you did Bruce," Pagano said with Arians nearby at the news conference. "You carried the torch and all you went out and did was win ballgames, you got our 10th win yesterday and you got us into the playoffs and you did it with dignity and you did it with class. I can't thank you enough."

Players, coaches and staff members had been anticipating this day from the moment they learned Pagano was taking an indefinite leave to fight cancer, Oct. 1.

So when the 52-year-old first-time head coach returned, the 24-hour rule was cast aside ? giving the Colts (10-5) another 24 hours to celebrate something far more important than reaching the playoffs.

"I know Chuck is ready for this challenge," said Colts owner Jim Irsay. " I know the time is right for him to grab the reins and get the head coaching cap on and begin the journey.

"The great thing about the National Football League is that so much attention gets paid to it, so many other things happen beside win and losses and the inspiration Chuck has shown to others and the time Chuck has spent connecting with others, it really is miraculous. It's a fairytale story, its' a Hollywood script, it's all of those things."

When Pagano arrived, he drove past an inflatable Colts player with the words "Welcome Back Chuck" printed on its chest. Normally, that spot is reserved for a message for the Colts to beat their next opponent.

When he spoke at a private team meeting, cheering could be heard in the media room.

If all goes well at practice this week, Pagano will be back on the sideline for the first time since Jacksonville scored a last-minute touchdown on an 80-yard TD pass in Week 3, handing Indy it's only home loss this season.

Pagano began the first of three rounds of chemotherapy Sept. 26, after the team completed its final practice during a bye week.

Arians, a prostate cancer survivor, immediately established the goal: Play long enough so Pagano could return to the sideline this season.

Indianapolis did better than anyone could have expected under Arians, who had spent two decades as an NFL assistant but had never been in charge of an NFL team. The Colts went 9-4 under Arians, who tied the league record for wins after a midseason coaching change, joined the 2008 Miami Dolphins as the only teams in league history to lose 14 or more games one season and win 10 or more the next and became the fourth team in league history to win only two games one season and 10 or more the next.

Reach Out To Your Customers: The Power Of Email Marketing ...

TIP! You can make an email have multiple parts in order to reach the biggest audience. The communications you send out should include both plain text and HTML content to properly show up in their email messages.

People are spending more time online and checking their email more often than ever, so marketing via email has increased in importance. To get started with e-mail marketing today, there are so many things you can do to get started.

TIP! One great way to follow up with customers and clients through email is to send them a free offer in one email. Include a statement in the email urging them to take advantage of your offer.

Be certain you send correspondence only to those eager to receive it. Emailing people who don?t know your nor your products can seem like spam. This will have them thinking if they know who you are or even care about what you are selling. They may just delete your message; what a waste of time!

TIP! Do not send email to anyone who has not given you permission to do so. When you send out spam, your emails won?t be effective.

Your content should speak to the reader, not just jargon to bypass the junk mail box. You can easily write your message without lots of sales talk that will attract the spam filter. Avoid keywords such as ?free? to keep your newsletters out of your customer?s spam box.

TIP! Always get permission from your customers before you correspond with them via email. Failure to do so can lead to you losing customers? trust and it will tarnish the reputation of your business.

Write an interesting subject line for your emails. An enticing or catchy subject line, increases your chances it a potential customer reading the actual email. Emails that have headlines or subjects which are suspicious will be deleted or remain unopened.

TIP! Ask permission before adding people to an email list. If you send email without consent you will come off as a spammer, and create a bad impression of your brand.

Include special promotions only in your marketing with email, like coupons or discount codes. The readers are not only more likely to eagerly read the messages themselves, but they?re also more likely to pass the info on to friends. As a matter of fact, referral programs are great ways to grow your email base at the same time you are growing your customer base.

TIP! Brevity is your greatest email campaign ally. If it is longer than two paragraphs, the excess will likely go unread.

Teach yourself what not to do by scoping out some spam. Get a free email address, put it all over the Internet, and see how much spam you receive. Take a look at those emails and learn what you don?t want yours to look like. If you see any similarities, adjust your email promoting campaign. Going the extra mile to distinguish yourself from spammers is a great way to build brand respectability.

TIP! A standard length of 60 characters or less is best for your subject line. There are many email clients that shorten the subject to reach this length.

Make sure you have a person?s full permission before adding them to your mailing list. If not, people will think of you as a spammer; they will send your mail to the junk folder, delete it or leave your list. If your ISP gets many complaints, they could block you from sending emails because you can be viewed as a spammer.

TIP! Do not send emails that use images to convey the most important information. Lots of email services, particularly web-based versions, do not necessarily enable viewing of such images.

Make your emails as personal as possible. This doesn?t just mean addressing your customers by their first names. Make use of every bit of information you have collected on the people you send emails to. Take your subscribers and group them together based on interests. Create emails that are tailored to their interests.

TIP! Use a subject line that attracts your reader?s attention. Consider what incentive would lead your reader to open your email and use it in the subject.

Make sure to create an email list that has organic numbers. This means you should not buy a list of email addresses. Most organic lists are built using sign up forms on business websites, but don?t neglect other list-building opportunities such as trade shows and offline advertising. This ensures that your emails only go to those who are interested, and you can take pride in knowing that you grew your business all on your own.

TIP! Encourage customers to leave active, as well as passive feedback, in your marketing campaigns via email. Readers should be asked to provide suggestions and opinions when offering active feedback.

Create informative and entertaining content for your email marketing campaigns, not just information about the items you sell. Send subscribers information they can?t find on your site. Make sure to add special offers and discounts for your products and services. Don?t forget to send out emails that aren?t directly marketing related. Holidays, birthdays and other special occasions also warrant emails.

TIP! Every customer on your email list should be someone who clearly opted in to your email marketing campaign. You will lose customers and possible even your website host if you engage in spam.
